Prior to being tutored, I was struggling with AP Calculus BC. After beginning to be tutored by Margin though, I noticed a significant uptick in my performance. Margin, through [their] tutoring not only helps with in class math topics, but also helps explain deeper topics that may not be taught in class. Doing both allows for not only a good class grade, but a deeper understanding in math overall. I would definitely recommend Margin to those that may be struggling with anything in math or just want to learn more about math in general!

Margin helped me with math in so many ways. For example, I learned about the pigeonhole principle and was able to come up with my own problem to solve. They also helped me to realize that math isn’t just numbers. It can be expressed through mosaic tiles, origami, pretty much anything! I also learned what a Hypotenuse was, which is the long side of a triangle. After just a few lessons with Margin, I tested into a Math Enrichment program at my school!

Margin has a lively personality that can easily keep me interested in the topic I am learning.  [They crack] corny math jokes where I just can't help but laugh while keeping everything relevant to the current unit.  When I don't understand something, I am not afraid to say: I don't know, because something I do know is that Margin will carefully lead me through what I am uncertain about, ensuring that I understand everything fully.  Not only [do they] care about teaching math, but [they] also [make] sure that the path you take for it is the one fitted for you.  [They are] funny, diligent, and still creative through [their] teaching without missing any steps.  As a student, I am lucky to have come across such a talented and down-to-earth teacher so early.

Margin 帮助我家十年级的儿子补习AP Calculus BC 和五年级的女儿补习数学。她非常认真负责，非常有耐心，经常时间都过了还在给我女儿细心地讲解。在她的帮助下，我儿子的成绩提高了很多，期末考试考了100%。我女儿之前老师推荐她考了几次Math enrichment program 都很遗憾没有考上。这次在Margin的帮助下终于进入了数学高班。

Margin helped my 9th [grade] girl (Angela) [with] advanced algebra 2 (including the trigonometry concept). Based on my daughter, Margin is fun。 [Their] approach of teaching really explain[s] concepts clearly, lots of concepts make sense from Margin’s teaching. [They] make math learning...fun. Since [M]argin [was] a college student, [they are] not only a good tutor, but also a mentor. My daughter respects Margin’s inputs about summer camp, about focus, about future planning. Math became fun after learning from Margin. [They know] kid’s weakness immediately, and came up with an action plan thereafter. Once the week point is addressed, Margin starts to develop [the kid's] problem solving skills, logic thinking skills and overall math habit.
